When you visit a new city, there are a handful of things you always research ahead of time: Hotels, places to eat and things to do. If you’re an art lover, you may find yourself searching for art museums, local galleries, theater performances happening when you’re in town, or local bands that you must learn about. You’re in luck if you’re visiting Lynchburg, Virginia, any time soon.
Here, we live and breathe art. Our creative community is a thriving and well-supported one, and there is always an opportunity to catch it in its element. A great place to start is the Lynchburg Artisan Trail.
The Artisan Trail Network is a national movement dedicated to fostering creative communities around the country. It exists to create a network of locations and travel stops that will directly connect the visitor with the artist.

Meet the Creative Community
Lynchburg is a pretty young town and, because of that, new artists are popping up all the time and making a name for themselves. Rather than popping into a coffee shop to see them at work, the Artisan Trail puts you right at their doorstep.
Get an Immersive Experience
Why look at art when you can live it? The Artisan Trail will connect you with theaters that are art pieces in their own right, but also give local, regional and national acts the chance to take the stage as well.

Learn a Little
The great thing about art is that it’s subjective—with each viewer taking away something a little different each time. The Artisan Trail will give you the opportunity to learn about history, culture and how art has influenced both over time.
