Fall is just around the corner, which means some of the most popular fall festivals are coming back in full swing! There’s something for everyone to enjoy from food and music to art and history. Mark these events on your fall activity list.
Get Downtown!
September 6 | 6:30 P.M. – 10:00 P.M.
To kick-off off the return of our college students, the Downtown Lynchburg Association will be hosting the 11th annual Get Downtown event, when Main Street becomes closed to transportation and then filled with local food vendors, live music, pop-up shops and fun for the whole family! The admission is free and this event is open to the public.
Lynchburg Art Festival
September 14 | 10:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
The Lynchburg Art Club will host their 47th annual Lynchburg Art Festival, a treasured time when artists are able to display their work for all to see, including a student exhibition for high schoolers. Take a stroll at this free event through the grounds of E.C. Glass High School to see all of the unique creations and stay till the end to see which ones will be given special cash prizes!
Day at the Point Fall Festival
October 5 | 10:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.
See history brought to life with historical reenactments, take a tour of Dr. George Cabell’s mansion, Point of Honor, and indulge in food of the period at the 22nd annual Day at the Point Fall Festival. There will also be plenty of activities for the kids like games and crafts. Admission is free!
Rebec Vineyards Virginia Wine & Garlic Festival
October 12 & 13 | 10:00 A.M. – 5:00 P.M.
At Rebec Vineyards 29th Virginia Wine & Garlic Festival, where it’s “always a stinkin’ good time.” There will be 10 guest wineries and 2 guest cideries offering tastings, as well as 4 stages with live entertainment throughout the day! Rebec has also partnered with Brew Ridge Tours this year, providing a shuttle from Downtown to this exciting event. Purchase your tickets for this one, but children 12 and under have free admission.
