Part of Amazement Square’s CityArts Mentoring Program, the steel bug sculpture known as “Lynchbug” was erected in 2002 and stands on the sidewalk across from the museum’s entrance.
The CityArts Mentoring Program was established in 2002 to provide team-building mentoring experiences to at-risk and under served youth through the process of creating public art that enhances the environment of downtown Lynchburg.
