The Lynchburg City Stadium and Bank of the James Field is a wonderful venue for businesses, sports teams and event planners looking for a centrally located, large space. In addition to the two fields, the City Stadium lawn is used as an event space for larger events up to 5,000 people. With lots of parking and attractive, newly renovated facilities the Lynchburg City Stadium and Bank of the James Field is a great place for team practices and games, large company picnics and other events.
The complex hosts a baseball and football field. There are 700-800 marked parking spaces, with a limited number of additional grass and street spaces available. The football side has bleachers that can seat audiences of up to 9,000. The facility includes two press boxes as well as a scoreboard, natural turf grass field and gravel track.
The City Stadium football field and/or lawn may be rented through the City of Lynchburg Parks and Recreation Department throughout the year.
