One of the best places to let your pup roam free is at the off-leash Lynchburg Dog Park at Blackwater Creek Athletic Center. The dog park is made up of two sections; a large dog section for dogs over 30 pounds and a small dog section for dogs under 30 pounds. During the weekends in late spring, summer and fall, you will find numerous dogs running around, digging in the large sandbox or getting a drink from the installed water spigot. Afterwards, you can take your dog on a leashed walk at the nearby Blackwater Creek Trail.
